CAREER GUIDANCE

The career guidance programme broadens learners (Primary and High school students) awareness of career options and ensures that they know about the various post-school study, learnership and work opportunities available and understand how to access them.

RwandOpp introduced this program to provide services and activities intended to assist primary and high school students at any point throughout their live, to make educational, training and occupational choices and to manage their career.

The project is now running  in Nyabihu District in 2 schools (Group Scolaire Mukamira and Group Scolaire Rwankeri) where we broaden children’s’ imagination, to dream big dreams. 200 books called “Oh Rwandan Child” were delivered on those 2 schools during the planting dreams event organized by YALI Rwanda Chapter in partnerships with RwandOpp and we reach around 300 students in every session we do once in 2 weeks at those primary schools for the follow up of planting dreams initiative.

We have also a career guidance programme for high school students at Group Scolaire Mukamira where we do workshops twice a week to assist students thinking about life after the school. We bring young entrepreneurs to have a conversation with students to inspire them and be able to overcome unemployment challenge when they graduate from high school.

Our beneficiaries form G.S.Rwankeri

RwandOpp also would like to hold an annual Careers event where professionals from various fields describe their jobs and institutions, organizations and companies present opportunities to High school learners.
