Our next Safe Gambling Hackathon in Kigali is open for registration

“We know that gambling addiction can too often become a problem for people. We also know that across Africa gambling is a prevalent leisure activity and we are bringing our experience from decades in the gaming sector, with world-class technology and expertise, to solve these problems interactively. We invite Government, industry partners, addiction specialists and individuals to get involved in our Hackathon debates and ideation sessions to tackle the problem with us together.”

Global consultancy Crucial Compliance in partnership with Adam Bradford Agency and Rwanda Opportunities Organization (RwandOpp) is hosting this interactive forum and event to bring forward ideas which prevent gambling addictions and protect consumers, in one of the fastest-growing markets in the world, in one of the fastest-growing continents in the world.

This hackathon aims to find ways to mitigate the issues related to problem gambling behaviour including education and awareness, treating those with gambling problems and using technology and other tools to prevent gambling behaviour from becoming risky in the first place. The gaming market is growing, especially in Africa, and all operators and countries must keep customers safe.

The safe Gambling Hackathon will take place on 19 April 2023 at the Rooftop Ikawa cafe’ & TechLab (Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM)
